Monument Survey
We specialise in carrying out individual or large-scale surveys of all types of built heritage monuments and features. These can be earthen monuments or stone built structures (whether roofed or roofless). A written, drawn and photographic record of an archaeological site or monument often forms an intrinsic part of our standard reports. Archaeological survey can also be carried out for specific projects and pilot surveys where the client has a particular objective in mind.
We carry out archaeological survey for a wide range of monument types including castles, tower houses, churches, round towers, holy wells, ringforts, souterrains (underground passages and chambers), fulachta fiadh (burnt mounds), cairns, megalithic structures, standing stones, rock art, land-based coastal wrecks and in-river structures etc.
