Conservation & Management Plans

conservation and management plans

We undertake Conservation and Management Plans for a wide variety of clients and projects, including State and Semi-State bodies, Local Authorities, development partnerships, historical societies and local community groups.

This report focuses upon the design of a plan to improve the care and maintenance of an archaeological complex and the individual features within it. The aim is to strike a balance between heritage protection, heritage management and the ongoing use of a sensitive area, e.g. a graveyard. Conservation & Management Plans can also progress into feasibility studies, i.e. to assess the possibility of developing a monument for tourist potential or to make a monument more accessible to the public without impacting upon its setting.

All of our Conservation & Management Plans involve Recorded Monuments and some include National Monuments in State Care or Ownership.
